Your GeoJSON never leaves your browser
The site has no backend, no database and no login. The data you paste, upload or generate with the tools stays in your browser tab. We cannot see it, store it or recover it, and closing the tab deletes it.
Analytics and advertising
The site runs two Google services: Google Analytics 4, to see which pages are used, and Google AdSense, to display ads. Both are third-party services, so your browser talks to Google directly and none of it passes through a server of ours. What Google receives on any page includes:
- The page you are viewing and the page you came from
- An approximate location derived from your IP address, usually city-level
- Your device type, browser, screen size and operating system
- Whether you have visited before
If ads are personalised, Google may also use information from your browsing on other sites.
Cookies set on your device
Google sets a few cookies the first time you visit. We set none of our own.
_gaand_ga_Z1NV8VGNTW: Google Analytics, used to distinguish visitors. They expire after two years.__gads,__gpiandIDE: Google AdSense, used for ad serving and frequency capping.
Opting out
- Personalised ads: Google's Ads Settings.
- Analytics: install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or use a tracker-blocking browser or extension.
- Cookies entirely: most browsers can block third-party cookies in settings.
Other services the pages load
- OpenStreetMap, for map tiles. Tile requests include your IP address, per OpenStreetMap's usage policy.
If you email us
A message sent to the address on the contact page carries whatever you put in it, including your address. It is used to reply and nothing else. No list, no forwarding, no analytics. Sample data attached to a bug report is used to reproduce the problem and then deleted.
Children's privacy
This site is not aimed at children under 13. We knowingly collect nothing from anyone, but Google's services have their own age policies that apply to every site using them.
Changes
If anything material changes, the effective date at the top of this page changes with it.
