This page explains, in plain language, what happens to your data when you visit geojason.com.

What we collect ourselves: nothing

GeoJason has no backend, no database, no login, and no first-party analytics. The GeoJSON data you paste, upload, or generate with our tools stays in your browser — we can't see it, store it, or recover it. Closing the tab deletes everything.

What Google sees through Analytics and AdSense

We use two Google services on this site: Google Analytics 4 (to see whether the site is being used and which pages are popular) and Google AdSense (to display ads). When you visit any page on geojason.com, your browser sends Google information that includes:

• The page you're viewing and the page you came from
• An approximate location derived from your IP address (usually city-level)
• Your device type, browser, screen size, and operating system
• Whether you've visited before

If ads are personalized, Google may also use information from your browsing on other sites. None of this passes through us — your browser talks to Google directly.

Cookies set on your device

Google sets a few cookies in your browser the first time you visit. We don't set any cookies of our own.

• _ga and _ga_Z1NV8VGNTW — Google Analytics, used to distinguish visitors. Expire after 2 years.
• __gads, __gpi, IDE — Google AdSense, used for ad serving and frequency capping.

Opting out

• Personalized ads: Google's Ads Settings.
• Analytics: install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or use a tracker-blocking browser or extension.
• Cookies entirely: most browsers let you block third-party cookies in settings.

Other services we load

• OpenStreetMap — for map tiles. Tile requests include your IP per OSM's usage policy.
• unpkg.com — for the Leaflet stylesheet. Same — IP visible to that CDN.

Children's privacy

This site isn't aimed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect anything from anyone, but Google's services have their own age policies that apply to every site that uses them.

Changes

If we change anything material, the effective date at the top of this page updates.
